Using 2 axis laser measurement equipment the following measurements can
be made, Bore Alignment inc. multiple bores up to 99 positions, Flatness,
Straightness, Right Angles and Parallelism.
Where foundations have failed or new equipment is being installed we offer full alignment services inclusive of all Foundation Repair Work. The Resin Compounds used are industry approved.
In-Situ Machining Services including, Drilling, Tapping, Stud Removal, Line-Boring and Internal Spiral Welding and Facing, Milling and Keyway Cutting, Bolt Hole Boring, Slip Ring, Shaft Turning including Polishing and Super Finishing.
One of the most common problems experienced by these machines is wear to bores, bosses and pins connecting the various moving parts. We offer fast and cost effective repairs, carried out on site with the minimum stripping down of the machine.

Our engineers will weld up damaged bores manually or use one of our in-house manufactured Internal Spiral Welding Machines then Line-Bore to give the required fit, which in most cases is a much tighter tolerance than was specified when new. If required new pins and oversize bushes can be supplied from our works.
Laser Measurement services have been supplied to Walking Draglines. Slew shafts, slew gearboxes and their drives, slew ring flatness on both rev frame and track frames. Other services include Re-Machining of Slew Ring Seats, Bolt Hole Drilling and Tapping, Milling and Facing.
When Dublin Port Authority contacted Fine-Align to send an engineer over to assess damage on a large Luffing crane, alarm bells rang. "Working high above ground is not one of my strong points," admits Fine-Align's Andrew McGill.
After reassurances from their mechanical engineering manager, Maurice Doyle, that the suspect component was already on the ground, we agreed to attend the next day to assess possible damage to the jib of the crane using laser measurement and bespoke fixtures.
"This survey found that the jib main pivot bores were displaced to a large degree," Andrew explains, "giving the customer cause to be concerned about the 'A' frame, still some 90 ft above ground level. At this point, I'm sure Maurice twigged that I wasn't keen to climb the crane!"
After serious discussions, a Sky Lift was called for and the job completed in record time. No error was found on top.
In consultation with our customer and the crane manufacturer, a repair method was agreed. Four bores in the jib were welded up then re-bored in line and to their original manufactured size. Two engineers completed the work (well) within the agreed timescale!
All Rotating and Reciprocating Machines used to generate energy and provide motive power are covered by our Laser Measurement and Laser Alignment Services.

We specialise in machinery installation and machine re-alignment services inclusive of all adjustment on Stainless Steel Shimming or Epoxy Resin Chocking Compounds.
