New distributorship creates a one-stop laser-alignment and epoxy resin chocking service from ‘world-class’ marine specialists

Experienced laser-alignment and in-situ machining specialists, UK-based Fine-Align Ltd, have been appointed as distributors for H.A. Springer Marine + Industrie Service GmbH epoxy resin chocking products, including EPOCAST 36®, formulated to provide an alternative to steel chocks for marine propulsion and deck machinery.Fine-Align’s distribution area covers the UK and Ireland.

EPOCAST 36® is a versatile two-component pourable chocking compound approved by all major Classification Societies and institutions. The appointment has enabled Fine-Align to broaden the scope of its activities, as outlined in its recently renewed ISO 9001 Certification. The firm can now provide a qualified ‘Integrated service package providing on-site laser measurement, alignment, in-situ machining and epoxy resin chocking.’

Fine-Align’s Managing Director, Andrew McGill explained: “We’ve worked with epoxy resin chocking materials for many years and gradually expanded our
equipment, capacity and range of services - from simple shaft alignment and in-situ machining to complex repairs on a significant scale.
